Project Preparation for the Restructuring and Upgrading of the Food Safety and Control Administration in Turkey

The global objective of the assignment is to define ways to strengthen the administrative capacity of the beneficiary at central and decentralised levels with a view to ensuring effective implementation and enforcement of the food safety acquis.
The specific objective of this assignment is to prioritise and design a project to be included in the 2002 package of EC Pre-Accession Assistance to Turkey aiming at restructuring / strengthening the administrative capacity of the Department of Food Control and any other relevant private/public institutions/entities in the sector, which would ultimately support the upgrading of the food safety and control administration in Turkey.
