Consultancy Services for Provincial Situation Analysis for Balkh, Bamyan, Heart & Parawan Provinces

This assignment is part of the Afghanistan Rural Enterprise Development Program (AREDP), a national government-led program to jump-start private sector growth in rural Afghanistan. Some of the sectors of focus are: large farms, agro processing, food processing, handicrafts, manufacturing, construction materials, and marble/tile. The Situational Analysis will be conducted in order to identify the value chains on which community is best willing to invest (up to seven sub-sectors/champion products or value chains) with most promising opportunities for inclusive growth. Identifying sets requirements and skills required to build an SME for each of seven sub-sectors and analyzing the backward and forward linkages, financing options, and opportunities for collaboration with other projects, for each of seven sub-sector.
