Accompany Developing Countries in complying with the implementation of Regulation 1005/2008 on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing

The overall objective of the project is to prevent, deter and eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing and thus to contribute to the protection of the environment and of marine biodiversity and to the welfare of local fishing communities in developing countries which are the first to suffer from IUU fishing. In particular to help the selected countries to improve if necessary their catch certification scheme. Project area: Central America, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
